Update the version of a document
Very often, signature pages will be sent before the transaction documents are in their final form. So, SimplyAgree allows you to hold your signature pages steady while you update the body of your transaction document!
If a signature page has been marked as a signature page in SimplyAgree, but has not been executed (so if it's unsent
, or sent for signing
) you have the option to update that signature page during the versioning process.
If the page has been sent for eSigning
, and you update it during the versioning process, the signer will see the updated version of the signature page when they go to sign.
- To update the document version, open the document you'd like to update
- Click on the "Document Versions" icon on your sidebar on the left-hand side of your screen (it looks like rotating arrows)
- Click "Add a new version"
- Drag and drop your updated document into the pop-up or click "From computer" to select it from your computer
- Once the document has been uploaded, just confirm the placement of your signature pages by dragging and dropping the green "Signature Page" block below the signature page preview
- If you would like to update the unexecuted signature page(s), click the toggle on the signature page thumbnail. This will show you the updated version of that page that will be applied when you click "Add version".
- Click "Add version"
You can also update a document version from the Transaction Overview page.
- Go to the Transaction Overview page by clicking the home icon
- Hover over the document card you'd like to version
- Click the ellipsis icon
- Click Add new version
- Follow the same steps as listed above
What if I have attachments in my document?
Attachments you add to a document are marked in SimplyAgree and will be retained when you use the Versioning Tool. You'll see a blue outlined page with a paperclip icon indicating where the attachment is in the new version. If you need to move it, just drag and drop in the pop-up when you're confirming the new version.
