Create an eSign packet

Make sure eSign blocks are added to the correct lines. Sometimes a signatory will sign documents some in their individual capacity and others on behalf of an entity. Because those pages will all be compiled into the same signature packet, it is important to ensure the eSign blocks are situated on the correct lines.

When dragging the eSign blocks onto signature pages, the text at the top of the pop-up screen will read “Add eSign fields for …”.  Make sure to match the text on the screen with the eSign blocks.

When you've finished assigning your signatories to each signature page, your eSign packets have been created! You need to select the pages you want to send and add the eSign fields before you can send the electronic packets.

To see your eSign pages:

  1. Navigate to the Create Packets action button
  2. Select the check box next to the packet you'd like to view
  3. Turn on the "Enable eSigning " toggle in the white box on the right-hand side of your screen

To add eSign fields to your eSignature packet:

  1. Click the yellow "Add " box that appears when you enable eSigning
  2. Drag the "Signature " eSign field from the left side of the pop-up onto the signature line
  3. If you need to remove an eSign field that you've previously placed, just click the "X" on the yellow eSign field

Add checkbox groups:

If you're sending an investor questionnaire or a 280G document and you need to have a signer check a certain number of boxes, you can use our checkbox groups. Checkbox groups help ensure that signers don’t skip checkboxes and always complete forms correctly.

  1. Drag out one checkbox and click the plus icon to add additional boxes.
  2. You can drag and drop the checkboxes in the group to the correct position.
  3. If you need several checkbox groups, just drag out a new checkbox from the side menu to start a new group.
  4. You can set the rules for each checkbox group by clicking into it, setting the rule type and selecting how many boxes are involved.
