Does SimplyAgree support Witness signatures?

SimplyAgree does not currently support Witness signatures. If this is something you would like, please reach out to support@simplyagree.com with a feature request!

There are a couple of workarounds, depending on your needs.

If it needs to be wet ink signed:

1. You can add "Witness" as a signatory to each page that needs witnessing and it will create a packet for the witness.
2. You can then download the PDF packet
3. And send it along to the appropriate party for distribution to the witness.

If it needs to be eSigned:

1. On the first page that needs to be witnessed, add a signatory called Witness, then turn on the entity toggle but don't add an authorized representative.
2. Click Create Signatory. This will create an "entity" called Witness with no assigned person.
3. Add this "entity" to each page that will need this witness's signature.
4. You can then email yourself the packet, and that link can be forwarded to whoever will send it along to the Witness signer.
5. To email yourself the link, on the Create Packets page, turn on Enable eSigning
6. Under Packets, check the box for "Deliver all packets in a single email"
7. This will send you the link for the Witness packet that can be forwarded.
8. Please not that the signature pages for the signer and witness would still be returned in counterpart.
