Building a Closing Binder

Below is a written guide on the steps to build your closing binder. Each step is hyperlinked to the relevant Knowledge Base article. Some steps have a couple options depending on your needs.

  1. Upload transaction documents.
    1. You first need to upload your binder documents to the Upload Queue
  2. Navigate to the Build Binder page
  3. Binder cover page options. Select the option that best meets your needs. The firm-branded cover page should work for most binders. Only use a custom upload if the default template doesn't meet your formatting needs.

    2. Upload a custom cover page
  4. Create your Index/Table of Contents. This can be as simple or complex as you need.
    1. Add index headers
    2. Add documents to your index
    3. Customize your index format
  5. Exhibits, schedules, or attachments. If you don't have/need any attachments, skip this section and go to step 4.
    1. Bookmark precompiled attachments in your documents
    2. Add external attachments to your documents
    3. Add any exhibits, schedules, or attachments titles to your index listing
  6. Build and download your binder.
    1. Build your binder
    2. Download and select your closing binder options
    3. Or send a download link
